It’s time for another addition of TEFLers Around the World. This time, I found three interesting blogs that deserve to be on your reading list or at least occupy your time until you find something better and more interesting to do. I highlight these blogs because they are ones that you should be reading if you are new to the TEFL profession.
First, we have Sadebugo’s Travel Blog. The writer seems to be spamming(actually ‘posting about’ may be better) his blog all over the place, but what the heck, he’s got some interesting articles and travel experiences so maybe he just wants to promote it. He’s running a Slovakia slideshow and the pictures look great. There are some nice gems on his blog, but the Montel Williams Pharmacy referral ad seems interesting, if not out of place, on a TEFL blog. Do check it out for yourself.
EFLGeek is teacher who has a lot to say. He is using a TypePad blog, but I won’t hold it against him. I am sure his heart is in the right place. He’s got a lot of opinions and a lot of great information on teaching in Korea. His posts are peppered with the wisdom that can only be found in a seasoned TEFL veteran in a country like Korea. Don’t teach in Korea without checking out his blog.
This Guy is Teaching Abroad is a TEFL Trainer and teacher in Mexico and gives a insider’s look at teaching in Mexico. I enjoy checking it out from time to time to get a feeling for what’s going on in Mexico. Want to teach in Mexico? You better be reading it. Guy always has time to help out newbies so I am sure you can get a lot of your Mexico questions answered there.
If you want me to take a look at your TEFL/EFL/ELT blog, just drop me an email at teflnews@gmail.com and I will take a look at it and see about reviewing your blog.
